Beverly and Michael Thom, Jennifer Grooms, and the featured artist, Christian Andrew Grooms, founded Paoli House Gallery in 2007 in the beautiful historic town of Paoli Wisconsin.  The building was once a turn-of-the-century hotel recently restored to its original charm by Bill Hastings.  For the last 20 years the township of Paoli has undergone a restoration process revitalizing many key buildings, in turn, creating a small oasis of culture just nine miles outside of Wisconsin’s capitol Madison.

Paoli House Gallery’s mission is to provide an exhibition space for local and nationally emerging artists as well as established artists working in contemporary visual arts.  Paoli House Gallery seeks to foster a unique connoisseurship connecting the Madison area community with larger metropolitan cities such as Milwaukee and New York City while maintaining a rich heritage in midwestern artistic tradition.  Paoli House Gallery will have 4 to 6 exhibitions a year and will host events ranging from charity fundraisers to collaborative Paoli / Madison area social events.

The artists and guest artists represented by Paoli House Gallery have exhibited their works locally, nationally and internationally and are deeply involved in creating artwork that speaks about the diverse contemporary societies in which we live.  Because of the inevitable growth of the Madison area, our communities are witnessing and participating in an evolution of cultural and intellectual growth.  Paoli House Gallery provides a unique glimpse into the universality of contemporary life seen through the eyes of those who are dedicated to the practice and tradition of documenting it . . . the artist.
